Dr. O’Donoghue is an Attending Optometrist at the Commonwealth location of NECO Center for Eye Care. In addition to seeing patients, he mentors the next generation of optometrists from the New England College of Optometry.

Dr. O’Donoghue has published eighteen articles in medical journals, and most notably, along with world-renowned cataract and glaucoma specialist, Dr. Bradford J. Shingleton, he co-authored a review article titled “Blurred Vision” which appeared in the August 2000 issue of The New England Journal of Medicine. Their work is referenced in numerous textbooks on the subjects of cataract and glaucoma.
