Dr. Gayathri Srinivasan completed her undergraduate training in Optometry from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani in India. She then received an MS degree in Physiological Optics from University of Missouri – St. Louis College of Optometry. She received Doctor of Optometry from the New England College of Optometry (NECO) in 2011 and completed residency training in pediatric optometry from NECO in 2012.

Dr. Srinivasan currently holds the rank of Assistant Professor at NECO where is actively involved in teaching and clinical research. Her research interests include novel treatment of amblyopia and infant vision screening. In 2015, Dr. Srinivasan received the Joanne Angle Investigator Award from Prevent Blindness for evaluating efficacy of infant vision screening methods in the US. She has lectured locally on infant vision and the importance of vision screening in early detection of vision disorders.

Dr. Srinivasan is a member of Children’s Vision Massachusetts Coalition, a forty-four member coalition of experts and parents working to create a systematic approach to children’s vision services. Their work seeks to assure that every child has the opportunity to develop and retain their best possible vision to support healthy development and academic growth. Dr. Srinivasan sees patients at New England College of Optometry (NECO) Center for Eye Care Roslindale and Codman Square Health Center specializing in pediatric eye care and vision therapy.
