Phyllis Andrejko is an attending optometrist at New England College of Optometry (NECO) Center for Eye Care Roslindale, formerly called New England Eye. A graduate of the New England College of Optometry, she completed her residency in Family Practice at the Dorchester House Multi-Service Center.

Dr. Andrejko used her experience as an optician and manager to inspire her passion to provide comprehensive eye care to patients of all ages. After receiving her doctorate and completing her residency, Dr. Andrejko became Associate Director of Eye Care at Dorchester House, and also has served as a primary care optometrist at Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston. Since 2008 Dr. Andrejko has exponentially grown the New England Eye Roslindale practice into one of the largest teaching sites in the NECO clinical system. She continues to collaborate and foster partnerships with local groups and leaders and remains a valuable resource to the community, staying abreast of new and existing topics and developments.

Since 1998, Dr. Andrejko has held an adjunct faculty appointment at the New England College of Optometry (NECO) and is now a Clinical Assistant Professor. She has been preceptor to second, third, fourth year students, residents, and actively mentors and tutors NECO students. She is a 2004 recipient of the College’s Excellence in Clinical Training Award.

Dr. Andrejko is an active member and faculty liaison of the American Optometric Association (AOA) and a member of the Massachusetts Society of Optometry. She served on the New England Eye Institute‘s Clinical Promotion committee and has served on many leadership teams addressing clinical standards of excellence and productivity matrices in several clinical programs. She has also taken an active role in clinical preceptor meetings and has been a co-presenter on clinical education and grading. Dr. Andrejko continues to be involved in the First -year Observation Program and actively serves as examiner and mock patient for clinical proficiencies at NECO.

Dr. Andrejko is passionate about community health-based optometry and continues to serve a diverse demographic and cultural patient base while sharing her experiences with, teaching and mentoring clinical interns. She is also enthusiastic about maintaining a team approach to positive patient care and experience.
