At New England College of Optometry Center for Eye Care, we offer an optical department at both our Commonwealth and Roslindale locations. Our experienced team of optometrists and opticians is ready to help you find the right tools to enhance your vision and meet your lifestyle needs. This includes both routine and specialized eyewear, including an extensive array of designer frames and specialized lenses.
Our goal is to provide an excellent patient care experience. Our opticians are also available to answer questions about your eyewear needs, prescriptions, and available technologies such as polycarbonate lenses and UV blockers for blue light.
The Optical Center at NECO Center for Eye Care, our highly trained and licensed opticians can work with you to select eyeglasses and sunglasses and order contact lenses, from disposable and short term lenses to gas permeable and soft lenses. Additionally, the NECO Center for Eye Care Low Vision doctors also offer low vision evaluations to help determine appropriate low vision devices to maximize your vision.
Frequently Asked Questions About Our Optical Center
- Do I need an appointment to see an optician? Opticians can be seen on a walk-in basis. No appointment is needed. A current prescription is required, and outside prescriptions are accepted.
- Do you have glasses and/or contact lenses in stock? There is a large assortment of frames including the latest technology to assist the patient in their selection. Contact lenses need to be ordered with a current prescription and take 3-5 business days.
- Can I get my glasses the same day I come in? The lenses take 3-5 business days, depending on the prescription.
- Can I order contact lenses online? Yes. You can order them online.
